The Nina Foundation believes that only with scientific research will it possible to find a treatment for the  Angelman Syndrome. Recently the research group of Ype Elgerma at the Erasmus MC have had a scientific breakthrough. Their research work was recently published in the highest acclaimed journal "Nature Neuro Science" (link to article).  

The Nina Foundation is currently supporting a project of Mr Elgersma on the effect of "Dopamine" (begin autumn 2007). For more information see the following news article.
